Is adhivasna and anjanshalaka together at same time? Usually what time are these ceremonies
Adhivāsanā and Añjanśalākā are not usually done at the exact same time.
General sequence
- Adhivāsanā is usually done first, as a preparatory and sanctifying ceremony.
- Añjanśalākā is then performed later, at the main consecration time.
Usual timing
- Adhivāsanā: often done in the evening or the previous day/night, depending on the tradition and arrangement.
- Añjanśalākā: usually done during an शुभ मुहूर्त, most commonly in the morning or daytime, according to the chosen auspicious time.
Important note
Different Jain traditions and local customs may vary a little in exact procedure and timing, but in general:- Adhivāsanā = preparatory ceremony
- Añjanśalākā = main ceremony
So, they are related ceremonies, but usually not simultaneous.
