Which stotra is the most powerful
In Jainism, several stotras (devotional hymns) are considered highly powerful and auspicious. Among them, the Navkar Mantra (also known as the Namokar Mantra or Namaskar Mantra) holds the highest significance. It is regarded as the most sacred and powerful mantra in Jainism.
The Navkar Mantra pays respect to the five supreme beings: Arihantas (liberated souls with perfect knowledge), Siddhas (liberated souls), Acharyas (spiritual leaders), Upadhyayas (spiritual teachers), and Sadhus (monks and nuns). Reciting this mantra is believed to destroy negative karma, bring peace of mind, and lead one towards liberation (moksha).
Besides the Navkar Mantra, other revered stotras include:
- Uvasaggaharam Stotra: Dedicated to Bhagwan Parshvanath, believed to remove obstacles and troubles.
- Bhaktamar Stotra: Dedicated to Bhagwan Adinath (Rishabhanatha), known for its miraculous effects.
However, among all, the Navkar Mantra is universally regarded as the most powerful and fundamental in Jainism.
