Lord Rishabhdev, also known as Adinath, is the first Tirthankar in Jain tradition. He is deeply respected as the one who first showed the path of right conduct, discipline, and renunciation in the present time cycle.Explanation
According to Jain tradition:- He was born to King Nabhiraj and Queen Marudevi in Ayodhya.
- He is regarded as the founder of organized life and civilization in this era.
- He taught people many useful arts and skills, such as:
- He had many children, and among them Bharata is especially well known.
- After ruling and guiding society, he developed deep detachment from worldly life.
- He renounced all royal pleasures and became a muni.
- Through severe spiritual practice, he attained kevalgyan and became a Tirthankar.
- He then gave the message of non-violence, truth, restraint, and self-purification.
