    Answer

Please do not give up on yourself.

In Jain Dharma, the fact that you feel regret means your inner conscience is still alive. That is not a failure. That is a sign that your soul still wants the right path.

Do not try to restart with a big promise. Start with one very small act today:

    • Sit quietly for 1 minute
    • Fold your hands
    • Say Navkar Mantra once
    • Then say in your heart: “I am sorry. I want to begin again.”

    That is enough for today.

    Explanation

Right now, your mind is mixing guilt, sadness, and fear, so it feels like “if I cannot do everything, I should do nothing.” That is not the Jain way.

Jain Dharma does not ask for perfection first. It asks for:

    • awareness
    • repentance
    • effort
    • consistency

Even a very small sincere step is better than waiting for a perfect mood. Do not make dharma dependent only on bad days. Dharma is also for good days, because good days are when you can build strength.

    A simple way to restart:

    • Morning: Navkar Mantra once
    • Night: one short forgiveness prayer in your own words
    • Once a day: 1 minute of silence or gratitude
    • If possible: visit the temple once, without pressure

Do not think, “I have done too little for too long.” Think, “From this moment, I am beginning again.”

    Spiritual Understanding

In Jainism, inner purity matters deeply. Even if external practice has been weak for a long time, sincere repentance can soften the mind and create a new beginning.

What matters most is not how much you did in the past month or year, but whether you now have:

    • humility
    • remorse
    • a desire to improve
    • a truthful heart

Do not let guilt become another bondage. Let guilt become wakefulness. Not self-hatred, but self-correction.

    Takeaway

Today, do one small dharma act only. Not ten. Not a perfect routine. Just one.

If you do that every day, your path will slowly open again.

Remember: small sincere practice done daily is stronger than big regret felt silently.
