Which is the most rarest type of deva
Answer
In Jain Dharma, there is not one universally stated “most rarest deva” in a simple way. But among the main classes of devas, the Vaimanik devas are the highest class, and within them the Anuttara Vaimanik devas are considered the most elevated and difficult to attain.Explanation
Jain tradition commonly describes devas in four main groups:- Bhavanvasi devas
- Vyantara devas
- Jyotishka devas
- Vaimanik devas
Among these:
- Vaimanik devas live in the heavens.
- Anuttara Vaimanik devas are the highest among the Vaimanik class.
- They are associated with very great punya, so their birth is considered very rare.
Spiritual Understanding
In Jainism, being born as a deva is not the ultimate goal. Even a deva-life is temporary. The highest aim is:- liberation of the soul
- freedom from karmic bondage
- attainment of moksha
So, rather than focusing on rarity, Jain Dharma teaches us to focus on right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
