9 tatva names
In Jainism, the "Nav Tatva" or nine fundamental principles (Tattvas) explain the nature of existence and the path to liberation. The nine tattvas are:
- Jiva (Soul or living beings)
- Ajiva (Non-living substances)
- Asrava (Influx of karmic particles)
- Bandha (Bondage of karma)
- Samvara (Stoppage of karmic influx)
- Nirjara (Shedding of karmas)
- Moksha (Liberation)
- Punya (Meritorious deeds)
- Papa (Demeritorious deeds)
These tattvas form the core of Jain philosophy and help in understanding the process of bondage and liberation of the soul.
