According to Jainism, Sati Anjanaa (also spelled Anjana or Anjana Devi) is the mother of Lord Hanuman, who is known as Anjaneya. However, in Jain tradition, Hanuman is considered a prominent character, and his story is told with some differences from the Hindu tradition. In Jain texts, Anjanaa's son is referred to as Mahavira's contemporary and is known as Anjaneya or Hanuman.
