Who is Gachadhipati now
In Jainism, particularly within the Śvetāmbara Mūrtipūjaka tradition, a "Gachadhipati" is the head or leader (Acharya) of a Gaccha (sub-sect or monastic order). The title and position of Gachadhipati can differ depending on the specific Gaccha.
As of 2024, some of the prominent Gachadhipatis are:
- Tapa Gaccha: The current Gachadhipati is Acharya Shri Nityanand Surishwarji Maharaj Saheb.
- Tristuti Gaccha: Acharya Shri Rajyashsurishwarji Maharaj Saheb is known as the Gachadhipati.
- Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi (associated with Khartargaccha): Acharya Shri Vijay Rajendrasuriswarji Maharaj Saheb is a prominent Acharya.
Please note that there are several Gacchas within the Śvetāmbara sect, each with its own Gachadhipati, and leadership can change with time. If you refer to a specific Gaccha, please mention its name for a more precise answer.
