Why we should not pakshal milk
Answer
In Jain Dharma, milk is generally not used for pakshal because it is not considered fully aligned with ahimsa and pure worship.Explanation
Reasons commonly given in Jain tradition are:- Ahimsa: Milk is obtained from cows and buffaloes, and its production is linked with disturbance, control, and suffering of animals.
- Purity of worship: Jain worship aims to use simple, sattvic, and less हिंसात्मक dravyas.
- Non-attachment: Offering milk can increase the feeling of ritual attachment to worldly substances rather than inner purity.
That is why many Jain temples prefer water-based pakshal instead of milk.
