Who are tejpal and vastupal

Tejpal and Vastupal were two prominent Jain brothers who lived during the 13th century in Gujarat, India. They belonged to the Porwal Jain community and served as ministers in the court of the Vaghela king, Virdhaval. The brothers are celebrated for their piety, philanthropy, and significant contributions to Jain art and architecture.

One of their most famous accomplishments is the construction of the magnificent Luna Vasahi temple on Mount Abu, dedicated to the 22nd Tirthankara, Neminatha. This temple is renowned for its exquisite marble carvings and is considered one of the finest examples of Jain temple architecture.

Tejpal and Vastupal are remembered in Jain history for their devotion to Jain principles, promotion of non-violence, and their patronage of religious and public works, including temples, wells, and rest houses. Their legacy continues to inspire the Jain community.
