Which jeev takes upsham shreni and which jeev takes kshapak shreni

    5 days ago 5

    Answer

In Jain Dharma, only a Bhavya Jeev with the proper spiritual capacity can take Upasham Shreni or Kshapak Shreni.

    • Upasham Shreni is taken by a Jeev who temporarily suppresses the Mohaniya Karma.
    • Kshapak Shreni is taken by a Jeev who permanently destroys the Mohaniya Karma.

    Explanation

Shreni means a very high spiritual ladder or ascent that begins from advanced spiritual stages and leads toward extremely pure states of the soul.

    • Upasham Shreni means the path of suppression of deluding karma.
    • Kshapak Shreni means the path of destruction of deluding karma.

A Jeev who climbs Upasham Shreni suppresses Mohaniya Karma and can reach the 11th Gunasthan, called Upashant Mohan Gunasthan. But because the karma is only suppressed, not destroyed, the soul eventually falls from that state.

A Jeev who climbs Kshapak Shreni destroys Mohaniya Karma and reaches the 12th Gunasthan, called Kshina Mohan Gunasthan. From there, the soul progresses to Kevalgyan and ultimately Moksha.

    Which Jeev Takes Which Shreni?

    • Upasham Shreni: Taken by a spiritually advanced Bhavya Jeev who suppresses Mohaniya Karma but does not destroy it permanently.
    • Kshapak Shreni: Taken by a spiritually advanced Bhavya Jeev who destroys Mohaniya Karma permanently and is on the direct path to Kevalgyan.

In traditional Jain understanding, a Jeev capable of final liberation must be Bhavya. An Abhavya Jeev cannot attain Moksha and therefore cannot complete the liberating path.

    Spiritual Understanding

    The difference is very important:

    • Upasham gives temporary purity.
    • Kshapana gives permanent purity.

So, Upasham Shreni is a temporary spiritual rise, while Kshapak Shreni is the decisive spiritual rise toward liberation.

    Takeaway

Upasham Shreni is the ladder of suppressing Mohaniya Karma. Kshapak Shreni is the ladder of destroying Mohaniya Karma.

Only a highly advanced Bhavya Jeev can ascend these Shrenis, and Kshapak Shreni leads directly toward Kevalgyan and Moksha.
