    Mohniy karam ni 16 prakruti

In Jainism, Mohaniya Karma (deluding karma) is one of the main types of karma that causes delusion or attachment, preventing the soul from realizing its true nature. According to Jain philosophy, Mohaniya Karma is divided into two main categories, each with several subtypes called Prakrutis (natures). In total, there are 16 Prakrutis of Mohaniya Karma.

    Here is the detailed classification:

    1. Darshan Mohaniya (Perception-deluding karma) – 3 Prakrutis

These obscure the soul’s right perception (Samyak Darshan).
    1. Mithyatva Mohaniya – Causes false belief.
    2. Sasvadana Samyaktva Mohaniya – Causes temporary taste of right belief.
    3. Samyak Mohaniya – Causes perfect right belief to be clouded (this is a technical classification, as true Samyak Darshan is free from Mohaniya, but this refers to karmic potential).

    2. Charitra Mohaniya (Conduct-deluding karma) – 13 Prakrutis

These obscure the soul’s right conduct (Samyak Charitra). They are further divided into:

    A. Anantanubandhi (Intense) – 4 Prakrutis

    1. Krodha (Anger)
    2. Mana (Pride)
    3. Maya (Deceit)
    4. Lobha (Greed)

    B. Apratyakhyanavarana (Partial renunciation-obscuring) – 4 Prakrutis

    1. Krodha
    2. Mana
    3. Maya
    4. Lobha

    C. Pratyakhyanavarana (Renunciation-obscuring) – 4 Prakrutis

    1. Krodha
    2. Mana
    3. Maya
    4. Lobha

    D. Samjvalana (Minor passion) – 1 Prakruti

    1. Samjvalana (all four passions in minor form, counted as one)

    ---

    Summary Table:

    | Mohaniya Karma Type | Prakrutis | Number | |----------------------|---------------------|--------| | Darshan Mohaniya | 3 | 3 | | Charitra Mohaniya | 4 + 4 + 4 + 1 | 13 | | Total | | 16 |
