What are the slokas of Parshvanath

    one year ago 277

In Jainism, Parshvanath is the 23rd Tirthankara, and many devotees recite specific slokas (verses) or stotras in his honor for spiritual upliftment and protection. While the tradition of slokas varies by sect and region, the most popular and widely recited stotra dedicated to Parshvanath is the "Parshvanath Stotra" or "Parshvanath Panchanamaskara Stotra." Here is a well-known version:

    Shri Parshvanath Panchanamaskar Stotra:

Namah Shri Parshvanathaya Namo Dharmaviharine। Namo Jinedrashirasi Vilasattunga Shekharine॥

Namo Jinedrachandramsu Lalamlasaadbhruve। Namo Jinedra Sampurna Manojnyayata Lochane॥

Namo Jinedra Kantardra Smitalokamano Hare। Namo Jinedra Mandara Sugandhi Sumano Hare॥

Namo Jinedra Padaabja Nirmalarghya Nishevite। Namo Jinedra Vandarchita Sarvartha Siddhaye॥

These slokas glorify Lord Parshvanath, his virtues, and his divine attributes.

Note: There are many other stotras and slokas dedicated to Parshvanath in Jain literature, such as "Parshvanath Bhujangam," "Parshvanath Ashtakam," and so on.

If you wish for a specific stotra or sloka, please specify the name, or let me know if you want the meaning/translation of the above verses.
