    Answer

Jain Dharma, often called Jainism, is an ancient Indian religion that teaches the path of spiritual purification, non-violence, self-discipline, and liberation of the soul.

Its central belief is that every living being has a soul, and every soul can become completely pure, free, and enlightened by removing karma through right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.

    Explanation

Jain Dharma is based on the teachings of the Tirthankars, the enlightened spiritual teachers who show the path across the ocean of worldly suffering. The most recent Tirthankar of the present time cycle is Bhagwan Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankar.

The main principles of Jain Dharma include:

    • Ahimsa – non-violence in thought, speech, and action
    • Satya – truthfulness
    • Achaurya / Asteya – not stealing
    • Brahmacharya – control of passions and celibacy according to one’s stage of life
    • Aparigraha – non-attachment and limiting possessions

Jains believe that karma is a subtle matter that binds to the soul due to passions such as anger, ego, deceit, and greed. Through spiritual discipline, compassion, meditation, vows, repentance, and self-control, the soul can stop new karma and shed old karma.

    Spiritual Understanding

The goal of Jain Dharma is Moksha, liberation from the cycle of birth and death. A liberated soul is free from all karma and remains in its pure state of infinite knowledge, infinite perception, infinite bliss, and infinite energy.

Jain Dharma places great emphasis on personal responsibility. No creator god controls one’s destiny; each soul becomes bound or liberated through its own actions, intentions, and spiritual effort.

    Takeaway

Jain Dharma is a path of non-violence, self-purification, compassion, and liberation. It teaches that by conquering inner passions and living with awareness, every soul can attain its highest pure state.
