if a person do 8 akasna what a person will be

    2 hrs ago 3

    Answer

In Jain Dharma, if a person does 8 Akasna, it means they have completed a form of tapasya with discipline and self-control. Such a person becomes spiritually stronger by reducing attachment to taste, comfort, and bodily desires.

However, Jain Dharma does not say that a person will automatically become liberated or gain a fixed worldly result only by doing 8 Akasna.

    Explanation

Akasna generally means eating only once in a day, with proper religious discipline and limits. Doing it for 8 days is considered a good austerity.

By doing 8 Akasna sincerely, a person may develop:

    • Self-control
    • Reduction of greed and cravings
    • Better control over the senses
    • More focus on prayer, samayik, pratikraman, and spiritual reflection
    • Punya when done with pure intention and humility

    Spiritual Understanding

In Jain Dharma, the real value of tapasya is not just physical fasting. Its value depends on the person’s inner feelings:

    • No ego: “I did big tapasya.”
    • No anger or pride during fasting
    • Peaceful mind
    • Compassion toward all living beings
    • Desire to reduce karma and purify the soul

If Akasna is done with right faith, humility, and pure bhav, it helps in nirjara, meaning shedding of karmas.

    Takeaway

Doing 8 Akasna is a meaningful Jain tapasya. It can make a person more disciplined, humble, and spiritually aware. But its true fruit depends on the person’s bhav, not only the number of days.
