What if someone is in periods in paryushan they can't go to derasar so what to do

    3 hrs ago 4

    Answer

If someone has periods during Paryushan and, according to their family or tradition, they do not go to Derasar at that time, they can still observe Paryushan meaningfully from home.

    They can do:

    • Navkar Mantra jaap
    • Pratikraman at home, if their tradition allows
    • Samayik or quiet meditation
    • Reading or listening to Jain scriptures and pravachan
    • Bhavna and reflection on forgiveness, ahimsa, and self-control
    • Michhami Dukkadam with family and others
    • Tapasya according to health and capacity

    Explanation

In Jain Dharma, the main purpose of Paryushan is inner purification, not only going to Derasar. If one cannot physically go to the temple, one can still do dharm from home with devotion and purity of intention.

Periods are a natural bodily condition. Different Jain families and sects may follow different rules about Derasar during this time. It is best to respectfully follow your family, guru, or local sangh tradition.

    Spiritual Understanding

    Paryushan is about:

    • reducing anger, ego, deceit, and greed
    • asking forgiveness
    • practicing ahimsa
    • doing self-reflection
    • strengthening the soul’s purity

All of this can be done sincerely even from home.

    Takeaway

If you cannot go to Derasar during periods, do not feel guilty. Observe Paryushan from home with devotion, discipline, forgiveness, and inner purity. The true spirit of Paryushan is in the soul’s purification.
