According to Jain tradition, Bhagwan Aadinath (also known as Lord Rishabhanatha), the first Tirthankara, had 100 sons and 2 daughters. Among his sons, the most prominent were Bharat (after whom India is named—Bharatvarsha) and Bahubali. His two daughters were Brahmi and Sundari. Brahmi is credited with the development of the Brahmi script, and Sundari with the study of mathematics.
