what does Jainism tell about attaining mosh now

    an hour ago 2

    Answer

In Jainism, attaining moksha means completely freeing the soul from all karma and escaping the cycle of birth and death.

Jain Dharma teaches that moksha is attained through the path of:

    • Samyak Darshan – right faith / right vision
    • Samyak Jnan – right knowledge
    • Samyak Charitra – right conduct

These three are called the Ratnatraya, the Three Jewels of Jain Dharma.

    Explanation

According to Jainism, every soul is naturally pure, full of infinite knowledge, perception, bliss, and energy. But due to karma, the soul is bound in worldly existence.

    To attain moksha, one must:

    • Stop new karma from entering the soul through self-control and awareness
    • Destroy old karma through penance, discipline, meditation, and purity
    • Live with non-violence, truth, non-stealing, celibacy, and non-possessiveness
    • Reduce attachment, anger, ego, deceit, and greed
    • Develop detachment from worldly desires

For householders, Jainism gives the path of vows, compassion, restraint, charity, and spiritual discipline. For monks and nuns, the path is deeper renunciation and complete self-control.

    Spiritual Understanding

Moksha is not gained by the favor of a creator God. Jainism teaches that the soul itself becomes liberated through its own purification.

The Tirthankars show the path, but each soul must walk it through personal effort, discipline, and inner transformation.

    Takeaway

Jainism teaches that moksha is attained by purifying the soul through right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct, while removing attachment, passions, and karma. The path begins now with awareness, non-violence, self-restraint, and sincere spiritual practice.
