Will o get paap if i masturbated during part paryshan i feel very guilty

    2 hrs ago 3

    Answer

In Jain Dharma, sexual indulgence and loss of self-control are considered causes of paap because they strengthen attachment, passion, and bodily desire.

But please do not drown yourself in guilt. Jain Dharma also teaches pratikraman, repentance, self-awareness, and gradual improvement. If you sincerely feel regret and want to become more careful, that is spiritually valuable.

    Explanation

During Paryushan, we try to increase purity through:

    • Samayik
    • Pratikraman
    • Forgiveness
    • Control of senses
    • Reduced attachment to the body
    • Fasting or other tapasya according to capacity

Masturbation goes against the ideal of brahmacharya and sense-control, so it is not encouraged in Jain conduct. However, one mistake does not make you spiritually hopeless.

    What matters now is:

    • Accept it honestly.
    • Do alochana and pratikraman with sincerity.
    • Ask forgiveness from the Arihant, Siddha, Guru, and your own soul.
    • Make a realistic resolve to be more careful.
    • Avoid triggers like lustful content, loneliness, and idle time.

    Spiritual Understanding

Guilt can be useful only if it leads to awareness and improvement. If guilt becomes self-hatred, it is not helpful.

In Jain Dharma, the path is purification. We fall, recognize, repent, and rise again with stronger awareness.

    You can say with sincerity:

“Micchami Dukkadam. I repent for this weakness and will try to improve my conduct with more awareness.”

    Takeaway

Yes, it is spiritually improper according to Jain ideals, especially during Paryushan. But do not lose hope. Do sincere pratikraman, forgive yourself, strengthen self-control, and continue your Paryushan with humility and awareness.
