When a friend repeatedly makes you wait just says sorry and does the same thing again but because of them you are stuck how should you react in jain way without getting angry

    Answer

In a Jain way, you should respond with calmness, forgiveness, and firmness.

Do not react with anger, harsh words, or revenge. But also do not keep silently allowing the same carelessness to disturb your peace again and again.

    You can say gently:

“ I understand things can happen, but when this happens repeatedly, it affects my time and peace. From now on, if you are late, I will wait only for a fixed time and then continue with my plan.”

This is not anger. This is peaceful boundary-setting.

    Explanation

    Jain Dharma teaches:

    • Ahimsa — do not hurt others through thoughts, words, or actions.
    • Kshama — forgive without carrying bitterness.
    • Samata — maintain inner balance.
    • Apramatta — be careful and aware in conduct.

    So your reaction should be:

    • Do not shout.
    • Do not insult them.
    • Do not keep repeating the incident in your mind.
    • Calmly explain the effect of their behavior.
    • Set a practical limit for the future.

Forgiveness does not mean allowing the same problem endlessly. Jain understanding encourages inner non-violence, but it also values awareness, discipline, and responsibility.

    Spiritual Understanding

Anger first burns the person who holds it. In Jain Dharma, anger is one of the main passions that binds karma. So the aim is not to suppress anger forcefully, but to transform it into clarity.

    You may think:

    • “This is a test of my patience.”
    • “I will not let another person’s habit disturb my inner state.”
    • “I forgive them, but I will act wisely.”

This protects both your peace and your dignity.

    Takeaway

Forgive them in your heart, speak respectfully, and set a clear boundary.

Jain way is not passive weakness. It is calm strength with compassion.
