How we acknowledge the person who did atthai

    2 hrs ago 4

    Answer

In Jain Dharma, when someone completes Atthai Tap (fasting for 8 days), we acknowledge them with respect, joy, and humility.

    You can say:

    • “Tapasvi ji, aapko Atthai Tap ki bahut bahut anumodana.”
    • “Aapke tap ki hum bhav se anumodana karte hain.”
    • “Aapka Atthai Tap bahut prashansaniya hai. Jai Jinendra.”
    • “Aapne bahut uttam tap kiya. Hum aapki anumodana karte hain.”

    Meaning of Anumodana

Anumodana means to sincerely appreciate and rejoice in someone’s good spiritual effort.

In Jain Dharma, when we do anumodana of someone’s tap, charity, study, samayik, pratikraman, or any dharmik activity, we also create good spiritual feelings within ourselves.

    Spiritual Understanding

Atthai is a great form of tapasya. The person who completes it is usually respectfully addressed as:

    • Tapasvi
    • Tapasvi ji
    • Atthai Tapasvi

The correct attitude is not only to congratulate them socially, but to do bhav-purvak anumodana — heartfelt appreciation of their spiritual discipline.

    Takeaway

The best way to acknowledge someone who did Atthai is:

“Tapasvi ji, aapke Atthai Tap ki bhav-purvak anumodana. Jai Jinendra.”
