Not able to do samatsari pratikaman what to do

    an hour ago 3

    Answer

If you are not able to do Samvatsari Pratikraman, do not feel guilty. In Jain Dharma, the most important thing is sincere repentance, forgiveness, humility, and the intention to improve.

You can do the following according to your ability:

    • Say Micchāmi Dukkaḍaṁ with a pure heart.
    • Ask forgiveness from all living beings for any hurt caused by thought, speech, or action.
    • Forgive others sincerely.
    • Do Navkar Mantra jaap.
    • If possible, do a shorter Pratikraman or listen to it with devotion.
    • Make a firm resolve to avoid repeating known mistakes.

    Simple Prayer

    You may pray sincerely:

“Whatever faults I have committed knowingly or unknowingly through mind, speech, or body, I sincerely repent for them. I ask forgiveness from all living beings. I forgive all living beings. May my soul move toward purity.”

    Then say:

    Micchāmi Dukkaḍaṁ

    Spiritual Understanding

Samvatsari is a sacred day of ātma-shuddhi—purification of the soul. The full Pratikraman is very important, but if due to health, age, travel, lack of knowledge, family situation, or other genuine difficulty you cannot perform it fully, then do whatever is possible with bhāv—right inner feeling.

In Jain Dharma, mechanical ritual without repentance is incomplete. But even a small prayer with true humility has great spiritual value.

    Takeaway

Do not abandon the day. Do as much as you can, with sincerity:

Repent, forgive, ask forgiveness, chant Navkar Mantra, and keep the resolve to live more carefully.

    Micchāmi Dukkaḍaṁ.
