i have become very rebellious overtime and consulting a family member isn't helping they are similar minded also I am tired now

    Answer

I’m sorry you’re feeling so tired. In Jain Dharma, inner rebellion often comes from mental unrest, hurt, frustration, or feeling unheard. It does not mean you are a bad person. It means your mind is carrying too much pressure.

If consulting a family member is not helping because they think similarly, try speaking to someone calmer and more neutral: a trusted elder, a Jain sadhu/sadhviji if accessible, a teacher, counselor, or a mature well-wisher.

    Explanation

From a Jain perspective, the first step is not to fight yourself, but to observe yourself.

You can begin with three simple practices:

    • Pause before reacting: When anger or rebellion rises, delay your response. Even a few minutes can reduce harm.
    • Practice maun for a short time: Silence for 10–15 minutes daily can calm inner agitation.
    • Do pratikraman or inner reflection: Think gently: “Where did I hurt myself or others today? Where did anger control me?”

Also, try repeating the Namokar Mantra slowly with attention. In Jain tradition, it helps bring humility, steadiness, and spiritual clarity.

    Spiritual Understanding

Jain Dharma teaches that anger, ego, deceit, and greed disturb the soul’s natural peace. Rebellion often becomes stronger when anger and ego feel justified. But real strength is not in opposing everything; real strength is in gaining control over one’s own reactions.

This does not mean you must blindly obey everyone. Jain Dharma values right understanding. But disagreement should come with calmness, respect, and self-control.

    Takeaway

You may be tired because your mind has been fighting for too long. Start with small restraint, silence, reflection, and prayer. And please speak to a calm, trustworthy person outside the same mindset.

If your tiredness feels unbearable or you feel like harming yourself, seek immediate help from a trusted person or local emergency support. Your life is precious.
