can i masturbate in pryushan while wathcing girls please its a urge since 2 days please how much paap

    Answer

In Jain Dharma, during Paryushan, one should especially avoid masturbation and watching sexual content, because it increases rāga (attachment), kāma-vikār (sexual passion), and mental impurity.

Rather than thinking “how much pāp,” think: “How can I stop this urge right now without harming my spiritual state further?”

    What to do right now

    • Stop watching girls or sexual content immediately. Close the phone/app.
    • Move your body: stand up, go outside, sit with family, or do a small walk.
    • Do Namokar Mantra slowly 9, 27, or 108 times.
    • Drink water and wash your face.
    • Do not stay alone with the phone. Keep it away for some time.
    • If possible, do Pratikraman or sincerely say Micchāmi Dukkaḍaṃ with repentance.

    Explanation

In Jain ethics, sexual indulgence is connected with abrahmacharya. For householders, complete celibacy may not always be practiced, but during sacred days like Paryushan, one tries to increase restraint, purity, and self-control.

Watching with lust and masturbating mainly creates bondage through:

    • Rāga — attachment and craving
    • Moha — delusion
    • Kaṣāya — passions and loss of control
    • Asaṃyam — lack of restraint

I cannot measure “how much pāp” exactly. Jain Dharma teaches that karma bondage depends on the intensity of intention, passion, attachment, and duration.

    Spiritual Understanding

An urge is not the same as doing the act. If the urge is there but you control it, that restraint itself becomes spiritually valuable. Paryushan is a time to observe your inner weaknesses and gently overcome them.

If you have already done it, do not fall into hopelessness. Do sincere repentance, avoid repeating it, and return to dharma.

    Takeaway

Do not feed the urge with images or videos. Step away now, chant Namokar Mantra, and protect your Paryushan bhaav. The victory is not in having no urge; the victory is in not becoming its slave.
