What fruits can I have after aatthai at 1 day

    2 hrs ago 2

    Answer

After completing Aatthai tapas, on the first day of parna, it is generally best to take very light, easy-to-digest fruits in small quantity.

You may take fruits such as:

    • Ripe banana
    • Sweet apple without skin, if needed
    • Papaya
    • Sweet pomegranate
    • Chikoo in small quantity

Avoid heavy, sour, very cold, or acidic fruits on the first day, such as:

    • Orange
    • Mosambi
    • Pineapple
    • Grapes if they feel sour
    • Raw mango or sour fruits

    Explanation

After 8 days of Aatthai, the body’s digestion becomes very delicate. In Jain practice, parna is done carefully and gradually. So on the first day:

    • Eat very little at a time.
    • Chew slowly.
    • Avoid overeating even if you feel hungry.
    • Prefer simple, soft, sweet, and non-acidic foods.

    Spiritual Understanding

Aatthai is not only physical fasting; it is a tapas for self-control, purification, and reducing attachment to taste. Parna should also be done with calmness, gratitude, and restraint.

    Takeaway

For the first day after Aatthai, choose soft, ripe, sweet fruits in small quantity, and avoid sour or heavy fruits. If you have weakness, acidity, diabetes, or any medical condition, please also follow guidance from a doctor and your family elders or Guru Bhagwant.
