The first "taleti" (base or foothill) of Shatrunjaya Giriraj (the holy mountain near Palitana in Gujarat) is traditionally recognized at the point where pilgrims begin their ascent to the sacred hill. It is at this taleti that many important temples and shrines are located, including the temple dedicated to Shri Adinath Bhagwan (Rishabhdev), who is the first Tirthankara in Jainism.

The taleti serves as the starting point for the pilgrimage (yatra) up the mountain, where there are more than 800 temples atop the hill. According to Jain tradition, this place is considered highly auspicious, as it is believed that many Tirthankaras, including Adinath Bhagwan, sanctified the hill by their presence and by delivering sermons (samavasaran) there.

Therefore, the first taleti of Shatrunjaya Giriraj is at the base of the hill in Palitana, Gujarat, and is revered as the gateway to the holy pilgrimage up the mountain.
