Jain baby story and lullaby for infant
Certainly! Here is a gentle Jain story and a simple lullaby suitable for an infant, reflecting Jain values of non-violence, compassion, and truth.
Jain Baby Story: The Kind Little Lamb
Once upon a time, in a peaceful village, there was a little lamb named Komal. Komal loved all living beings. She never hurt even the tiniest insect. One day, Komal saw a small bird that had fallen from its nest. Instead of walking away, she gently called her animal friends and together they helped the bird back into the nest.
The bird’s mother was very happy and blessed Komal, saying, “You have a pure heart. By showing kindness to all, you bring happiness and peace.”
From that day, all the animals in the village followed Komal’s example. They lived together in harmony, practicing ahimsa (non-violence), just as the great Jain Tirthankaras taught.
Jain Lullaby (to the tune of a gentle lullaby):
Chandni raat, shant ho sab, Ahimsa ka sandesh laaye, Pavitra soch, pyaar bhara mann, Jeevo par daya barsaaye.
Neend ki god mein, ja tu so, Jinendra ka ashirvaad paaye, Satya aur prem ke sang jeevan, Sukh aur shanti laaye.
Translation:
Moonlit night, all is calm, Bringing the message of ahimsa, Pure thoughts, a loving heart, Compassion showers on all living beings.
Sleep now in the lap of dreams, Receive blessings of the Jinas, With truth and love in life, May happiness and peace come.
These gentle words and stories can help instill Jain values from an early age.
