    How to overcome of fear

    3 hrs ago 4

    Answer

In Jain Dharma, fear can be reduced by strengthening right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct, and by remembering that the soul is separate from the body, situations, and possessions.

Fear usually becomes strong when we are attached to something or when we forget the true nature of the soul.

    Explanation

To overcome fear, practice these Jain principles:

    • Remember the soul: “I am a soul, not just this body.” The soul is eternal, pure, and capable of liberation.
    • Reduce attachment: Much fear comes from fear of losing people, wealth, status, comfort, or the body. Jain Dharma teaches non-attachment to reduce this fear.
    • Practice Ahimsa: A peaceful and non-violent life creates inner confidence and reduces guilt, anxiety, and fear.
    • Do Namokar Mantra: Reciting Namokar Mantra with devotion helps calm the mind and brings spiritual strength.
    • Accept karma calmly: Difficult situations arise due to karma. Instead of panic, Jain Dharma teaches patience, awareness, and right action.
    • Practice Samayik: Sitting in equanimity helps the mind become steady and fearless.
    • Avoid negative thoughts and actions: Wrong actions increase inner fear. Truthfulness, simplicity, and compassion bring peace.

    Spiritual Understanding

Fear becomes weaker when the soul becomes stronger. A person who lives with Dharma, compassion, self-control, and detachment gradually develops inner fearlessness.

In Jain understanding, true fearlessness does not come from controlling the outside world. It comes from controlling one’s passions like anger, ego, deceit, greed, attachment, and hatred.

    Takeaway

To overcome fear, remember the soul, reduce attachment, chant Namokar Mantra, practice Samayik, and live with Ahimsa and truth. Inner peace grows when the mind stays connected with Dharma.
