Short Story: Riya’s Clean Heart

One day, little Riya was playing with her toys.

After playing, her room became messy. Toys were everywhere.

Mummy said, “Riya, let us keep our room clean.”

Riya smiled and put all her toys back in the box.

Then Mummy gave her a sweet.

Riya saw her little brother looking at it.

She thought, “I should share.”

So Riya gave half the sweet to her brother.

Mummy smiled and said, “Riya, you kept your room clean and your heart clean too.”

Riya asked, “What is a clean heart?”

Mummy said, “When we do not become greedy, when we share, and when we keep good thoughts, our heart becomes clean. This is called Uttam Shauch Dharma.”

Riya smiled and said, “I will keep my hands clean, my room clean, and my heart clean.”

Everyone was happy.

Moral

Uttam Shauch Dharma teaches us to be clean outside and pure inside by sharing, being kind, and not being greedy.
