What do bhavanpati dev eat?
According to Jain teachings, Bhavanpati Devas are a category of heavenly beings (devas) who reside in the lowest of the four heavens. Jain scriptures describe that all heavenly beings, including Bhavanpati Devas, do not eat physical food like humans. Instead, they subsist on a kind of transcendental happiness or enjoyment called "āhāra" (celestial nourishment), which is not material food but rather a form of enjoyment or satisfaction derived from their good karmas.
In summary, Bhavanpati Devas do not eat physical food. They are sustained by the celestial happiness and satisfaction they receive as a result of their meritorious deeds (punya) from previous lives. This is in accordance with Jain cosmology and scriptural descriptions.
