Can we attain moksha in this timeline now or next .there are other realms too where trithakar w
Answer
According to Jain Dharma, from our present region and time-cycle, human beings cannot attain moksha right now.
We live in Bharat Kshetra during the present Avasarpini Kaal. In the current period, moksha is not possible from here because the spiritual conditions required for kevalgyan and liberation are no longer present.
However, Jain tradition teaches that moksha is possible in other regions, especially in Mahavideh Kshetra, where Tirthankars are present even now and the conditions for liberation continue.
Explanation
In Jain cosmology, the universe has different regions and time-cycles.
In our region:
- We are in Bharat Kshetra.
- We are in the 5th Ara of the descending time-cycle.
- In this era, no new Tirthankar appears here.
- Moksha cannot be attained directly from this region in the present time.
But in Mahavideh Kshetra:
- Tirthankars are present even now.
- True Dharma is actively taught by living Tirthankars.
- Souls can attain kevalgyan and moksha there.
So, while liberation is not possible from our current Bharat Kshetra at this time, a soul may be reborn in a suitable realm such as Mahavideh Kshetra, come into the presence of a living Tirthankar, practice the path perfectly, and attain moksha.
Spiritual Understanding
This does not mean spiritual effort today is useless. In Jain Dharma, every right effort matters.
By practicing:
- Samyak Darshan — right faith
- Samyak Jnan — right knowledge
- Samyak Charitra — right conduct
- Ahimsa, self-control, tapa, and detachment
we purify the soul and create causes for higher spiritual progress. This can lead to birth in a spiritually favorable place, including Mahavideh Kshetra.
Takeaway
In this present time in Bharat Kshetra, moksha is not attainable directly, but the path is not closed. Through sincere Jain practice now, the soul can progress and eventually attain moksha in a realm where a living Tirthankar is present, especially Mahavideh Kshetra.
