    siddhchakra yantra explain

    12 months ago 372

The Siddhachakra Yantra is a highly revered mystical diagram (yantra) in Jainism, especially among the Śvetāmbara sect. It is used in prayers, rituals, and meditation, and is considered a powerful symbol for spiritual upliftment and removing obstacles. Here is an explanation of its significance and structure:

    Structure of Siddhachakra Yantra

    • Central Point (Bindu): At the very center is the word “ARAHAM” (or “Arihant”), representing the Arihant—the enlightened beings who have conquered inner passions.
    • First Circle: Surrounding the center are five petals, each representing one of the Pañca Paramesthi (Five Supreme Beings):
    1. Arihant (the perfected ones) 2. Siddha (liberated souls) 3. Acharya (spiritual leaders) 4. Upadhyaya (spiritual teachers) 5. Sadhu (monks and nuns)
    • Second Circle: This contains the eight auspicious symbols (Ashtamangalas) or sometimes eight virtues or deities, depending on tradition.
    • Outer Circles: Sometimes, additional circles or petals are drawn, representing various virtues, Tirthankaras, or other religious concepts.

    Symbolism

    • Spiritual Progress: The yantra’s arrangement signifies the journey of the soul from bondage towards liberation (moksha), guided by the teachings of the Five Supreme Beings.
    • Unity of Jain Philosophy: It encompasses core Jain values—right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct.
    • Protection and Purity: The Siddhachakra is believed to ward off negative influences and purify the mind and environment.

    Ritual Use

    • Puja and Snatra Puja: The Siddhachakra is central to the Siddhachakra Vidhan and Snatra Puja, major Jain rituals for spiritual cleansing and merit.
    • Kalpa Sutra Recitation: During Paryushan, the Siddhachakra may be drawn or worshipped in conjunction with scripture recitation.

    Mantras

The recitation of the “Navkar Mantra” (Namokar Mantra) is often performed in front of the Siddhachakra, as it is the essence of Jain worship and encapsulates reverence for the Five Supreme Beings.

    Summary Table

    | Part of Yantra | Symbolizes | |---------------------|--------------------------| | Center (Arihant) | Enlightenment | | 5 Petals | Pancha Paramesthi | | 8 Petals | Ashtamangalas/Virtues | | Outer Circles | Additional Tirthankaras/Values |

In summary: The Siddhachakra Yantra is a sacred diagram embodying the essence of Jain philosophy, used for worship and meditation to attain spiritual progress and well-being. It serves as a visual aid to focus devotion and remind practitioners of the path to liberation.
