Answer

In Jain Dharma, વિમાન (Vimān) usually means the heavenly abodes/palaces of દેવ (celestial beings).

The number depends on which category you are asking about:

• કલ્પ વિમાન: commonly described as 12 heavens.
• ગ્રૈવેયક વિમાન: 9.
• અનુત્તર વિમાન: 5.

Explanation

In Jain cosmology, heavenly beings live in different types of celestial realms called વિમાન. The main higher heavenly classifications include:

• 12 કલ્પ
• 9 ગ્રૈવેયક
• 5 અનુત્તર

So, if you mean these major upper heavenly categories together, then:

12 + 9 + 5 = 26 વિમાન

Takeaway

If you mean “વિમાન” in general Jain cosmology, the answer can vary by classification. But for the commonly mentioned higher heavenly divisions, there are 26: 12 કલ્પ, 9 ગ્રૈવેયક, and 5 અનુત્તર.
