Answer

Khartargachchha is a branch of the Śvetāmbara Mūrtipūjaka Jain tradition.

Explanation

It did not split from Digambara Jainism or from Sthānakavāsī/Terāpanth traditions. Khartargachchha developed within the broader Śvetāmbara Mūrtipūjaka community as one of its important gacchas, or monastic lineages.

In Jain usage, a gaccha means a lineage or order of monks and teachers within a larger Jain sect.

Takeaway

So, Khartargachchha belongs to the Śvetāmbara Mūrtipūjaka sect of Jainism.
