Can meditation lead to liberation?
Yes, according to Jainism, meditation (dhyāna) is an important spiritual practice that helps in the path toward liberation (moksha). Meditation aids in controlling the mind, purifying the soul, and reducing the influx of karmas. By practicing right meditation along with right faith (samyak darshan) and right conduct (samyak charitra), an individual can progress spiritually and eventually attain liberation. However, meditation alone is not sufficient; it must be accompanied by ethical living, self-discipline, and observance of the Jain vows and principles.
