Give mantra and vidhi to check Jain pass kevali

    9 months ago 249

In Jainism, "Kevali" refers to a soul who has attained Kevala Jnana, that is, omniscience or absolute knowledge. Only the Tirthankaras and a few other rare souls attain this supreme state. The concept of "checking Jain pass kevali" seems unclear in traditional Jain teachings, as there is no prescribed mantra or ritual (vidhi) to check or verify Kevalis. Kevalis are recognized through the scriptures and the doctrines passed down by Jain Agamas.

Mantra Related to Kevali: Devotees often recite mantras in reverence to Kevalis and Tirthankaras, not to verify or check their status, but to express devotion and seek inspiration.

A common Jain mantra is the Namokar Mantra (Navkar Mantra), which honors Kevalis along with other pious souls:

    णमो अरिहंताणं। णमो सिद्धाणं। णमो आयरियाणं। णमो उवज्जायाणं। णमो लोए सव्व साहूणं।

    Meaning:

    • I bow to the Arihants (Tirthankaras, Kevalis)
    • I bow to the Siddhas (liberated souls)
    • I bow to the Acharyas (spiritual leaders)
    • I bow to the Upadhyayas (spiritual teachers)
    • I bow to all Sadhus (spiritual practitioners) in the world.

    Vidhi (Method):

    1. Sit in a clean and quiet place, preferably in front of a Jain image or in a temple.
    2. Fold your hands and close your eyes.
    3. Recite the Navkar Mantra with devotion and concentration.
    4. Meditate on the qualities of Kevalis (omniscience, non-attachment, purity).

Important Note: There is no mantra or vidhi to check or test for a Kevali. According to Jain philosophy, Kevala Jnana is an internal, spiritual state, not externally verifiable or testable by ritual or mantra. We can only pay homage to Kevalis and strive to follow their path.

If you meant something else by "Jain pass kevali," please clarify for a more precise answer within Jainism's framework.
