In Jain Dharma there is no “time limit.” The rule is about place and propriety, not minutes.

• For monks and nuns: absolute separation—never sit alone with the opposite gender, at any time.
• For laywomen (śrāvikās): do not sit in a private or secluded place with an unrelated man at any time of day or night. If you must be in the same area (e.g., travel, satsang, school), keep it public, keep proper distance, and maintain modesty and restraint. Prefer to sit among women or with family.

Both Śvetāmbara and Digambara traditions teach the same principle under the vow of brahmacharya (celibacy/chastity) and maryādā (proper conduct): avoid situations that can arouse passion or give room for suspicion. Hence, it’s not “how long,” but “avoid seclusion altogether.”
