When can I do oli this year
In Jain tradition, Ayambil Oli (Navpad Oli) is observed twice every year—during Chaitra and Aso (Ashwin)—from Sud 7 (Satam) to Sud 15 (Poonam) of the lunar month.
For the current year (2025):
- Chaitra Oli: April 4–12, 2025. ( rajsaubhag.org , jcnc.org , msjs.org.au )
- Aso/Ashwin Oli: expected Sep 29–Oct 7, 2025 (Aso Sud 7 to Poonam; some panchangs place Satam on Sep 28 and Poonam on Oct 7, with Sharad Purnima night on Oct 6). Please follow your local Sangh/panchang for the exact start/end in your area. ( jaincenternj.org , hindu-blog.com , prokerala.com )
Notes:
- Shwetambar and Digambar both honor Navpad; dates are based on their respective panchangs and can differ by a day depending on locality and moonrise timings. Keep the core rule: Sud 7 to Sud 15 of Chaitra and Aso. ( jsmw.org )
Khub khub anumodana for planning this shashwati (everlasting) tapas.
