Dham chakra tapsya
Sorry, I am not aware of a Jain austerity (tap) called “Dham Chakra Tapasya” in the Jain Agamas or standard Jain scripture/tradition. In Jain Dharma, the recognized framework is the Twelve Austerities (Barah Tapa): six external and six internal austerities, through which nirjarā (shedding of karmas) is pursued. These include fasting, limiting intake and choices of food, giving up tastes, bodily endurance done with right faith, self-study, reverence, service, confession–repentance, meditation, and kāyotsarga, etc., always practiced with non-violence and purity of intention.
If “Dham Chakra Tapasya” is a local or colloquial name used in some community, it is not a canonical (āgamic) term. In Jainism, any tapasya should be aligned with:
- Right Faith, Right Knowledge, Right Conduct (Samyag-darshan, jñān, chāritra)
- Ahimsā, aparigraha, and restraint
- Avoiding show, fame, or worldly gain; the sole aim is purification of the soul
