Chellana and lord Mahavira relation
In Jain tradition, Chellana (also spelled Cellaṇā or Chelna) was the mother of Lord Mahavira, the 24th Tirthankara. She was the queen of King Siddhartha of Kundagrama (also known as Siddharth or Siddharth Raja). According to Jain scriptures, Queen Trishala (another name for Chellana) had a series of auspicious dreams before the birth of Mahavira, signifying the birth of a great soul. Chellana is thus revered as the mother of Mahavira and holds an important place in Jain narratives and iconography.
