Name of the tap that i asked before

I don’t have your earlier message in this chat. To help, here are the main Jain “Tap” (austerities). If you were referring to one of these, this list should jog the memory.

    • The 12 Tapas (six external + six internal)
    - External (Bahya): Anashan, Avamodarya, Vritti-parisankhyana, Rasa-parityag, Kaya-klesha, Sanlinata. - Internal (Abhyantar): Prayaschitta, Vinay, Vaiyavritya, Swadhyaya, Vyutsarg, Dhyan.
    • Common specific vows/practices people often ask about
    - Ekasana (one meal in one sitting). - Ayambil (plain, one-time meal without taste enhancers). - Chauvihar/Upvas (24‑hour fast; no water after sunset). - Attham (three-day fast). - Masaksaman (month-long discipline/fasting cycle). - Varshitap/Varsi Tap (alternate‑day fasting for about a year). - Navkar Akshar Tap (68‑letter Navkar-based observance). - Siddhi Tap (Attham–parna–Attham). - Ashta Maha Siddhi Taps (a grouped set of high‑merit fasts). - Kalpavriksha Tap (progressive restriction of food items).

If the “tap” you meant is among these names, use the linked note for details. Different Jain traditions (Digambar/Shvetambar) may have minor variations in procedure or naming, but the spiritual intent—self‑restraint and karma‑shedding—remains the same. Once you confirm which one you had in mind, I will share its concise arth and traditional vidhi.
