Arihant Bhagwan’s charitra is the highest and purest form of samyak charitra, called vitarāga (passionless) or yathākhyāta charitra.

• While preaching as Sayogi Kevali (13th guṇasthāna), the Arihant’s conduct is perfectly vitarāga—free from all kaṣāyas (anger, pride, deceit, greed) and utterly non-violent in thought, word, and deed.
• Just before liberation there is Ayogi Kevali, a final, extremely brief phase without bodily, verbal, or mental activity; after this the Arihant becomes a Siddha.
• Both Śvetāmbara and Digambara traditions accept that the Arihant possesses complete vitarāga samyak charitra; naming and technical details may be described slightly differently, but the essence is the same.
