Yes. Emperor Akbar (16th century) is part of Palitana (Shatrunjaya) history. At the urging of Acharya Hiravijay Suri, Akbar issued firmans that:

• Protected Shatrunjaya (Palitana) and other Jain tirths
• Prohibited animal‑killing during Paryushan and at sacred hills
• Removed certain taxes on Jain pilgrimage places and supported ahimsa-friendly policies

These imperial orders helped the Jain community preserve and rebuild Shatrunjaya/Palitana and continue peaceful pilgrimage there.
