Total thirthankars count?
- In Jainism, there are 24 Tirthankaras in the current time-cycle (Avasarpini) of our region (Bharat Kshetra).
- Both Digambar and Shwetambar traditions agree on the number 24.
- Jain time is cyclic and eternal; in every half-cycle there are again 24 Tirthankaras, so across endless cycles the total is innumerable, but in our present half-cycle it is exactly 24.
