Michami dukdam wishes
Michhami Dukkadam!
Meaning: In Prakrit, “Michhami Dukkadam” (मिच्छामि दुक्कडम् / મિચ્છામી દુક્કડં) means “May my faults be forgiven” or “I seek forgiveness for any hurt caused knowingly or unknowingly.” It is said with humility at the end of Paryushan/Samvatsari (Shwetambar) and on Kshamavani (Digambar), the Jain Day of Forgiveness.
How to respond: “Khamemi Savve Jiva” (I forgive all beings) or simply “Michhami Dukkadam.”
Simple wishes you can send:
- Michhami Dukkadam to you and your family. If I have hurt you in thought, word, or deed, please forgive me.
- On this sacred day, I seek forgiveness from all living beings. Michhami Dukkadam.

Gujarati:
- મિચ્છામી દુક્કડં. વિચાર, વાણી કે કર્મથી થયેલી ભૂલ માફ કરશો.
- સમ્વત્સરી/ક્ષમાવાણી નિમિત્તે ક્ષમા યાચના. મિચ્છામી દુક્કડં.
Essence in Jain tradition:
- Ask forgiveness from all beings (jeev daya).
- Forgive all who may have hurt you.
- Resolve to be more careful in thought, speech, and action.
