When the parushan start in year 2025
In Jainism, Paryushan (also spelled Parushan or Paryushana) is a major festival observed annually. The dates for Paryushan are based on the lunar calendar and thus vary each year.
For 2025:
- Svetambara Jains: Paryushan will likely begin on Friday, August 22, 2025, and end on Friday, August 29, 2025 (Samvatsari).
- Digambara Jains: Their observance, called Das Lakshan Parva, usually starts one day after the Svetambara Samvatsari, so it is expected to begin on Saturday, August 30, 2025, and end on Monday, September 8, 2025.
Note: Dates may vary slightly depending on local calendars and traditions. It is always best to confirm with your local Jain community or temple closer to the date.
