“Chovisi” means a set of 24 Tirthankars.
In every half-cycle of time there is one Chovisi. So, in one full time-cycle there are two Chovisis: one in Avasarpini (descending) and one in Utsarpini (ascending).
Over endless cycles, countless Chovisis occur.
Both Shvetambar and Digambar traditions agree on this.
