a mantra which can make you powerful

    12 months ago 305

In Jain Dharma, the most powerful “mantra” for true inner strength is the Navkar (Namokar) Mantra. It does not ask for worldly gains; it purifies the mind, reduces karmic bondage, and fills you with shanti, fearlessness, and right resolve. That is real shakti.

Navkar (Namokar) Mantra Namo Arihantanam Namo Siddhanam Namo Ayariyanam Namo Uvajjhayanam Namo Loe Savva-Sahunam

    Simple meaning

    • I bow to the Arihants (perfected beings with body).
    • I bow to the Siddhas (liberated souls).
    • I bow to the Acharyas (spiritual heads).
    • I bow to the Upadhyayas (spiritual teachers).
    • I bow to all Sadhus (monks) in the world.
By venerating supreme virtues, the soul becomes steady, pure, and strong from within.

How to use it (simple way)

    • Sit calmly, keep the spine straight.
    • Chant slowly 9, 27, or 108 times with attention on the meaning.
    • Keep ahimsa in thoughts, words, and deeds through the day.
    • Let the mind rest in equanimity after chanting.

    Traditions

    • Digambar and Shvetambar both accept this mantra. Minor differences are only in pronunciation; the essence is the same.

If you seek strength to overcome obstacles specifically, many Jains also recite the Uvasaggaharam Stotra of Bhagwan Parshvanath with shraddha for removal of upsarg (troubles) and for mental courage. Its purpose is spiritual protection and steadiness, not material control.

In Jainism, real “power” is the inner purity that arises from right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct. Regular Navkar chanting with vivek and ahimsa is the sure path to that strength.
