After taking samayak to count
Samayik is a 48-minute period of calm meditation in which you count and calm your thoughts, actions, and senses to purify karma. If you mean what to do after you finish the counting in samayik:
- Conclude with a short prayer and reflection: acknowledge any distractions, recommit to non-violence (ahimsa), truth (satya), non-stealing, celibacy, and non-possessiveness (asteya, brahmacharya, aparigraha).
- Offer a brief remission/forgiveness gesture: seek forgiveness from all beings for any harm caused knowingly or unknowingly during the session.
- End with a Namaskar or Namokar mantra: a simple closing prayer to bow to the Arihants, Siddhas, and Tirthankaras, and to seek guidance for right conduct.
- Note differences: Digambar and Shwetambar traditions may have slightly different closing prayers or sequence, but all emphasize humility, self-purification, and gratitude.
If you’d like, I can outline the exact closing mantras or provide the traditional sequence as per Digambar or Shwetambar practice.
