According to Jain tradition, Lord Neminath (also known as Arishtanemi), the 22nd Tirthankara, lived for 1,000 years. Jain scriptures such as the Kalpasutra and other texts mention that he was born in Sauripura (present-day Dwarka, Gujarat), and after a long and virtuous life, he attained liberation (moksha) at Mount Girnar. The long life spans of Tirthankaras are symbolic and represent their extraordinary spiritual achievements in Jain cosmology.
